Etruscan, 6th century BC
Gold.
H 1.4 cm B 1 cm T 1.6 cm

Gold earring of the à baule type (like a small bag). Decorated with a rosette consisting of three layers. The upper and lower layers are made of gold sheet and the middle layer of gold wire. The three layers are loosely connected to each other and to the earring by a flat gold wire. The rosette is flanked by six recumbent lions. Intact.
